The Whispering Oaks Swim and Recreation Club (Club) is a member-owned, non-profit association offering swimming, tennis, and recreational and social activities for the benefit of residents of the Whispering Oaks subdivision and our non-resident members and guests. The main facility of the Club is located on Whisper Valley and features the swimming pool, two lighted courts, a toddler’s pool, and a tree-shaded picnic and play area. Four additional tennis courts are located at the intersection of Whisper Forest and Whisper Willow.
Tennis facilities include six hard-surfaced courts - four illuminated. The Club sponsors special tennis events, and there is professional instruction available. Tennis courts are open for play all year long. Men’s singles ladder; junior tennis development programs; singles and doubles leagues for men, women, and mixed; and men’s/women’s Volvo teams are sponsored each season.
Swimming facilities include a large swimming pool with a deep diving “L”, an adult swimmers’ schedule, full-time pool management, a youth swim team competition - The Blue Marlins, a separate toddler’s pool, and water aerobics.
The Club also sponsors social events, which feature an Easter Egg hunt, a Halloween Spooky Party, an Octoberfest, a July 4th celebration, new residents’ socials, and a large Opening Day Festival.
