Homeowners Association
San Antonio, Texas
one of San Antonio's most admired and desired communities for over 50 years.
Although Whispering Oaks does not have a mandatory HOA, starting in Spring 2026 most, but not all, properties will be obligated to contribute to the subdivision's new Common Area Fund. This fund operates separately from the subdivision's voluntary assocaition.
Invoices for the first annual assessment of $25 will be mailed to obligated residences by March 1, 2026 and remittances due by March 31, 2026. Not all subdivision lots are obligated; click button to verify any address. Statements of Account for any obligated property can be requested after April 1, 2026 as noted below.
Lender and Title Advisory

In 2025, the majority of subdivision Units approved an amendment to the Community Covenants requiring a nominal annual contribution to a new Common Area Fund. As a result, 82% of properties must provide a remittance starting in Spring 2026. Membership in WOHA, which is a voluntary association, is not a factor and the requirement applies to all properties within an obligated Unit. Click below to verify if a particular property is obligated.
The Fund will ensure common areas such as subdivision entrances and perimeter land receive basic on-going upkeep. Remittances will provide less than half of the average $30,000 spent each year by WOHA which has served as the subdivision's primary caretaker for decades. The balance of expenses will continue to be paid by WOHA members.
Properties which are required to contribute to the Common Area Fund will be mailed an invoice by March 1 each year. Invoices will be sent to the property's mailing address on file with Bexar County. Remittances are due by March 31 and can be made online (credit / debit) or by mail (check). Late remittances will accrue monthly penalties.
A formal Statement of Account which may be required for some types of real estate or financial transactions can be issued for a fee of $95 paid online. Statements are issued within 10 days following receipt of the fee. Statements will be available after April 1, 2026. Homeowners simply verifying account or remittance status may request an informal reply online.
Full functionality of this website page will be provided in early 2026 prior to the Fund's first collection.
